NJSSA Meeting Minutes from March 28, 2007 Held at Ft. Dix Rod and Gun Club

Meeting called to order by Mike Brown at7:50 pm.

November meeting notes read by Meryl Boyd. Second by Mike Brown.

Ed Amaty will make sure Howard Dailey sends in the State Shoot Report with the Wayside Skeet Club fees for its registered shoots.

Report approved by Ed Amaty and second by Kevin Boyd.

New Business

State Shoot

Ads and Boosters  Deadline has been set for having all ads and boosters in by June 1, 2007. Jay Taylor volunteered to sell boosters at shoots he is attending. Boosters need to be sold at all club shoots not just Ft. Dix.

Mike proposed to raise the price of boosters to $10.00. After a discussion and vote the boosters will remain at $5.00.

Ads will remain the same price: $30.00 for ¼ page $ 60.00 for ½ page $ 100.00 for full page

Booklet

Larry Patrusevich will put the book together and will inquire with Jerry Holt for a price on printing and sending books out.

A list needs to be collected and given to Larry of members who the books need to be mailed.

Insurance

Tony Yovnello has already inquired about.

Shoot #

Shoot number has been acquired by Meryl Boyd.

Range Request

Ft. Dix range request will be done by Tony as soon as he gets the certificate of insurance.

Caterer

Ray Cronk and Company will arrange dinner with Christophers. Details will be worked out at a later meeting.

Tee Shirts

Meryl will design the shirts. She will also contact the same company that was used at the 2006 State Shoot. Will also ask Jon Silberhorn if he would pick shirts up as he did last year.

Metals and Pins

Mike has contacted Audy Williams for a price. Price will be the same as 2006. Medal list needs to revised from last year.

Proofs

Tony Horling will take care of proofs and Lucky Number prizes.

Champion Prizes

Mike will contact Creative Casting for the championship belt buckles.

Tony proposed to award prizes for the HOA Class winners as well. He will price out leather ideas from Lonesome Charlie and bring to the next meeting.

Refs

Ray Cronk Sr. is working on the refs. Has almost all in place.

Refs will be paid $ 30.00 per squad.

Snacks and Beverages

Tony will take care of as he did last year.

Plaques and Awards

Ray will inquire with Rob Madosky, at the Ft. Dix shoot, about getting 1st 100, Most Improved and Hall of Fame plaques.

Shoot Fee

Will be discussed when more of the expenses are brought to the table.

Hall of Fame Committee

The 2007 Hall of Fame Committee has been selected. As Follows: Jay Taylor Jim Hilton George DeSanto Tony Horling as alternate

This committee will accept nominations and do the research needed to determine if the nominated members are qualified to be inducted.

The NJSSA will obtain the plaques to be presented at the State Shoot.

There is no rule that someone must be inducted every year. Only nominations that meet the requirements will be considered.

Web Site

Joe Lagomarsino has contacted Tony claiming that the State owes him money for the old web site. Tony asked for a bill of his services which he has not produced yet.

Tolga has been making the needed updates to the site and Jon Silberhorn has been adding a new skeet tip page to it regularly.

Would like to have Tolga at the next meeting so he can teach the back ups how to change the site.

State Team

Kevin Boyd has compiled the ten names for the 2007 State Team. List will be confirmed at the next meeting.

Shoot Reports

Central Jersey held a shoot on March 10th. 41 Guns .410 winner was Ed Calabrese and the 28 gauge winner was Tom Abernathy.

Wayside held a shoot on March 18th. 12 gauge winner was Joe Attard.

Next meeting will be held at Ft. Dix on April 25, 2007, 7:30 pm.
