| DON LUISI WINS 28 GA. PRE-THANKSGIVING SHOOT AT WAYSIDE SKEET CLUB In Tinton Falls, NJ By Greg Khalaf There was more than one turkey at the Wayside Skeet Club for the Pre-Thanksgiving Invitational which was held on November 19, 2006. Twenty-five serious and hungry shooters came out for the PRE-THANKSGIVING Shoot. Don Luisi took the top prize at the annual event. We congratulate Don for his success at The World Shoot this year. However, he had no easy task winning this one either. He barely topped last years Pre-Thanksgiving Shoot champ, Jim OConnor, in a shoot off. Jim had to settle for A1 and was able to subdue his disappointment afterwards with his friends and fellow members while feasting on a home-cooked turkey dinner, with all the trimmings, by the fire. Special thanks to: John Urciuoli,Tom and Carol Abernathy, Bernie Mihalko and every one else who helped in handling all the details in putting together a nice dinner. New member Brian Kelly gets an award for best cheesecake ever. Kevin Boyd took AA1 with a 97, Ed Whitman had no problem winning B1 with a 97. Nice shooting Ed. Club President, Bernie Mihalko slid in to A2, Eddie Amaty solidly bagged C1 with 95 and Igor Bondar gave other D class shooters little chance when he slammed a 91 for D1. Ladies Champion goes to Carol Abernathy. Meryl Boyd, the lady in pink, was happy to be runner up, and Janice Menges placed third. The day did not end there. Later, Wayside Skeet Club held their annual membership meeting after dinner and elected new officers and directors for the upcoming terms. Thanks to all who attended the shoot and made it a happy holiday season and great new year kick-off. Results 28 GA
