| New Jersey Skeet Shooting Association Board of Directors Meeting – February 10th 2026 Attendees: President: Ed Amaty Jr. Vice President: Al DiGangi Secretary: Will Neate Treasurer: Howie Mann Chief Referee: Mason Palidar Meeting brought to order at 8.00pm Discussion: - NJ Skeet Championship decals printed. - Golf towels, T shirts, decals, badge and hats suggested for shooter gifts - Class winner trophies needed – first, second and third place for each class and gauge plus doubles - Howie will research hat costs - Association has circa $8190; goal is to use it for the benefit of shooters - Still researching hall of fame applicant to verify that criteria has been met; to date there are criteria that have not been substantiated; Ed contacting National Association re Jay Taylor - Al proposed a change to the By law for state team qualification, to reduce the number of birds required to make it more attainable for shooters; reduce requirements to 300 targets in each gun - Today, you have to leave the state to be able to meet the minimums; goal of change is to make it attainable for NJ shooters. Still requires travel to different clubs. Provides and incentive to shooters to be involved - Ed suggested trialing it but not making any permanent change; he is not in favor of making a permanent change but is willing to see how the trial goes and if it makes a difference in shooter engagement - Al made a proposal to trial state team qualification at 300 targets per gun for one year. Unanimous approval from board to trial - Official dates for Pine Brook approved.
