State Shoot August 28 – 30, 2009

The following were ways discussed, including ways to cut down on expenses and waste:

Food Amount of medals given out Raise Fees to cover expenses

Food – Ideas were brought to the table in trying to keep participants to stay for the dinner and meeting. Charge a fee for shooter and or guests. Start dinner earlier. Nothing was finalized to this topic.

Tony suggested that the number of dinners we order be cut down again to avoid wastes. This was agreed upon. Need to find out from the caterer using, to how much food is really allotted per person charged.

Medals – The class medals not given out from the past state shoots needs to be reviewed. There have been too many left over, in the past, that gone by the way side that have been paid for by the shooters.

Fees – Raising fees will be the last measure taken.

Tee shirts and pins will be given out along with the class winner prizes. We will use the same source as last year for both.

Championship Prizes – Tolga will look into prices for new and different awards.

Tony will run and calculate the Calcutta

New Business

Need to sell ads for state shoot program. Per Tony we need to try to get ads paid for up front.

Tolga will place the ref application on the NJSSA web sight, to be filled out and submitted to Ed Amaty along with the $5.00 fee, to be sent into National.
